respectful separation
Do you feel like you're talking past each other or drifting further and further apart?
Couples mediation creates space for genuine exchange, clarity and new closeness – with structure and heart.

My way of working
In an initial consultation, we'll get to know each other by phone, online, or in my meeting room in Mettmann. I'll introduce myself and my approach, and you'll describe your situation, your issues, and your future plans. Whether you're looking to resolve conflicts, deepen your relationship, or facilitate a respectful separation—the next steps will depend entirely on your needs.

Orientation & Topic Collection
We clarify together how we want to work together and
what is important to you in the current situation:
What is your goal for the discussions?
Which issues need to be addressed?
Where are there still open emotions?

Clarify concerns
In a structured and safe environment, all participants express what is important to them – without judgment or justification. As a mediator, I support them in making the underlying basic needs visible.
Many conflicts are based on similar needs – for example, the need for appreciation, reliability, clarity or connection.

Interests instead of positions
In separation situations, couples often make clear demands ("I want to keep the house.")
To resolve endless conflicts, we use targeted questions and conversation techniques to explore underlying needs and interests. This creates space for genuine insights and often mutual understanding.

Develop solutions & record agreements
Once both sides' interests are clear, we work together to develop solution options that address as many needs as possible. The goal isn't a mere compromise, but rather viable, creative solutions that work for both parties.
At the end, we will record your agreements in writing.
